Church of Azathoth is an arena in Quake Champions.
Summary
Church of Azathoth. At the end of known things, past inky gulfs and bent stars, stands a forsaken cathedral that exalts the night-throne of the Blind God.
Areas
Cemetery Gates
Beneath the ancient tree lies a courtyard in front of the Cemetary Gates. This T-junction is one of the main connections through the arena, giving you a quick shortcut between the two obelisks in Sacrifice. Perhaps even more importantly, this is where you will find the Rocket Launcher.
Chapel
The inside of the church lies in the center of the arena, as an offering to the Blind God. A pool of blood allows his acolytes to draw in and heal themselves. While the upper level of the Chapel is a very open area, the bottom floor provides a bit more cover, along with a Mega Health, and a route between the Cemetery Gates and Gallows.
Gallows
Nameless and faceless bodies hang over the power-up spawn, providing an expansive vista into the edge of Volkerh's domain. An important place of contention, the Power-Up spawns at the feet of the Gallows and a nearby fountain of blood, topped with a Railgun, helps ensure that blood is always spilt. Watch out for knockback out here, no one has survived the fall to tell the story of what lies beyond the distant gates.
Crypt
In addition to holding the remains of the recently deceased, the Crypt also holds one of the sacrificial obelisks. The obelisk is flanked by two levels: wooden scaffolding, and pillars below that can be used to escape out of the base. Defenders can stock up on a Heavy Armor, and a teleporter that brings you to the upper levels of the Cemetary Gates.
Courtyard
In front of the archway near the decrepit tree, stands the second obelisk. With three levels and multiple entrances, defenders may want to spread out and cover from opposing angles, using the high grounds to your advantage to cover both the obelisk and the Lightning Gun available in the perimeter just outside.
